.On November 7th-9th 2011, Greenethorpe PS students travelled to Canberra for our annual whole-school excursion. We spent two nights and three days exploring our nation's capital and had a wonderful time! Highlights included Parliament House (including a Parliamentary role play), Cockington Green, the Mint, the Australian Institute of Sport, Questacon, the National Zoo and Aquarium and War Memorial. At night we got to explore the National Botanical Gardens and the Primary class enjoyed two energetic games of Lazertag while the Infants class went to watch "The Smurfs" at the movies. Our accommodation and meals at the Bush Capital Lodge was fantastic and everyone came home on Wednesday very excited, and very tired!! Congratulations to all students on their outstanding behaviour and care for one another while we were in Canberra. A HUGE thank you also to Sam and Lisa (our amazing parent helpers) and to Mrs Lynch, Mrs Dickson and Mrs Lewis for organising such a great excursion! We can't wait to find out where we will be going next year!
